Two addresses
Atelier Virginie Morel now works in Fleurie through two complementary places. The first brings together the main workshop, showroom and registered office; the second mainly welcomes private clients in a more intimate address at village scale.
This dual anchoring allows the house to maintain demanding production while offering a more flexible welcome, from site appointments to domestic advice. Fleurie is not just a backdrop here: it is a working frame, rooted in proximity and time.
Set in the heart of Beaujolais, Fleurie gives the atelier a singular frame: a village at human scale, vineyard landscapes, and a culture of patient, well-made work. This proximity shapes a more attentive, quieter and more committed way of producing.
It is also what allows making, welcoming and advising to coexist within the same geography. Between the main workshop and the village showroom, the house affirms a very concrete local anchoring without compromising the standard of projects followed throughout France.
Virginie Morel founded the atelier with the desire to give furnishing textiles a place that is at once artisanal, sensitive and structural within projects. Her eye has been built over time through materials, drape, uses and the relationship to places; around her she has developed a trusted house able to support residential projects, hospitality spaces and more technical commissions with clear, durable making and no superfluous effect.
After many years as an upholsterer at Jouffre and then working independently, Samuel joined Atelier Virginie Morel with a demanding practice of seating, stuffing and bespoke pieces. He brings a very precise reading of traditional gestures and contemporary constraints.
A seamstress at the atelier and a winegrower alongside it, Alexandra divides her time between her estate and textile making. Her work is defined by fine execution, attention to detail and a very concrete local grounding.
Trained at Jouffre before working independently, Lena-Lou later joined the atelier with a complete profile at the crossroads of upholstery and sewing. She works on technical pieces as well as the most delicate finishes.
Jules supports the atelier's administrative and financial management, budget tracking and operational coordination. Alongside this role, he works with leading Paris-based architects, interior architects and designers on the strategic, financial and operational issues of their businesses.
Each project begins with a meeting. We take time to understand the place, the light and the desired atmosphere. The right proposal grows from this listening.
We select our fabrics from French and European textile houses. Linen, silk, velvet, cotton: every material is chosen for its final rendering.
Everything is made in our Fleurie workshop. Cutting, sewing, lining: each step is carried out by hand by qualified craftspeople, following the rules of fine making.
Our teams handle on-site installation worldwide. We watch every last detail: alignment, tension and invisible finishes.
