Virginie Morel's atelier is located in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards. Having developed a strong emotional bond with the material, the profession of couturier was an obvious choice for Virginie. A real culture of couture and aesthetics transmitted through her family environment has nourished this aspiration. From the planning stage to the finished product, home sewing is highlighted in a variety of projects. Whether they are residential, hotel, or office and boutique furnishings, the workshop works on projects in Lyon, Paris and Europe. Working in cooperation with interior design professionals, the studio actively collaborates in the realization of architectural projects' guiding principles by intervening in the final phase of the decoration program dedicated to the "dressing of the space".
In the atelier, everything is crafted and made locally, exclusively by hand and made-to-measure: particular attention is paid to the quality and precision of the finishing touches. Virginie Morel gives priority to French and European textile manufacturers. Thanks to the sourcing carried out for each new collection, a privileged link has been established with certain suppliers. The atelier offers its clients a selection of high quality textiles and wall coverings, guiding them to manufacturers such as Casamance, Dedar, Pierre Frey, Kvadrat or Nobilis, to name a few. This relationship of trust is shared with the interior architects during exchanges dedicated to advice and expertise.
Textiles occupy a privileged place in interior design, as the are a key element in softening, filtering or diffusing light. The Virginie Morel atelier, in addition to window covering, has expanded its offer by creating custom-made textile lampshades. Beyond the visual comfort related to the harmony of light, natural and technical textiles have other valuable assets such as thermal inertia, acoustic reverberation, opacity or transparency. All these qualities satisfy the projects and needs of its customers. Thanks to their mechanical properties, textiles are fully in line with the energy issues related to the habitat while revealing an unlimited decorative and creative potential.
